Around Galway

Today I am writing from a stone.

Did you know yesterday I went to the Cliffs of Moher.  They were ok,  with a good view but we didn’t see any puffins.  Did you know the Cliffs of Moher are in the movie: The Princess Bride!

Yesterday we also went to a beach.  Genevieve and Mummy made a sand castle with a moat.  I made one myself.  I made a door with white stones and there was a trapdoor to catch robbers.

Today I was in Galway.  In Galway we went to the Aquarium.  We saw a blue lobster.  Did you know lobsters have 2 claws, a crusher and a cutter. We also saw some starfish and a big conger eels.  My favourite thing was the orange octopus.  An octopus has no bones and can change colour.

Last we went to Brigits Garden where there was a fun fairy trail, with swinging wooden seats hanging from trees.

Tower of London

Today I went to the Tower of London with my sister Vivi and daddy. Before we did anything we had a choclate muffin with our friend Brett. To get the Tower of London we had to go on two tubes and one train.

First we went to see the crown jewels we saw the Queens crown it is purple and sparkly. We saw lots of golden crowns for diffrent Kings and Queens.

We also saw Traitors gate. If  you were naughty you would be jailed for four weeks. Then you would go to Traitors gate to catch a boat to get your head chopped off!

Next we saw wire statues and ravens. Last we climbed the White Tower at the top I saw a pretend dragon with red eyes.

My day at the Aquarium

Yesterday I went to the London Aquarium with my sister Vivi and daddy. To get there we went on one train and two tubes. When we were there we saw starfish and puffer fish first. After that we saw penguins. They live in a really cold part of the Aquarium. They are birds but they can swim really fast. there were lots of different colours of jellyfish in tanks. They had long stingers to catch prey. Next we saw a whale skeleton it was big and scary in a big tank with lots of fish and sharks. Last we saw a baby sting ray and had McDonalds for lunch.

My day in London

Today I went to London with my sister Vivi and Daddy. We went on three tubes and two trains. The first thing we did was climb Monument.

It has 311 steps its a long way up.  I saw Tower bridge at the top. Monument is near where the Great Fire started in 1666. It’s even older than Mummy.

Then we walked over London Bridge and had lunch at Borough Market with our friends Keith, Col, Brett and Craig.

After lunch we went to HMS Belfast which is a big old warship. It has lots of guns. Did you know sailors slept in hammocks and officers had their own cabins. The ship was in a very famous battle in World War Two at North Cape in Norway.

We walked 13 and a half kilometers and had the best time ever.

Eleanor’s Hebridean Road Trip

*** This is the first Blog post by Eleanor Jack, age 7 and a bit***
For the last week and a half I have been in Scotland with my sister Vivi, Daddy and our friend Bos.

I went on 5 ferries on the last one I went on I saw a porpoise and on the first one I went on was the longest.

We bought a shopkin fairy cake mix and baked it on the bbq. They were really yummy and I put shopkins on them.

Daddy bought me a very nice blue Harris Tweed hat which my Mum wants to steal.

We camped every night in our roof tent and Daddy got midged 8556 times.  He said some bad words.

We went to 14 beaches. Some were stony and some were sandy.  Some had rockpools. We saw some crabs and rescued a starfish by putting him back into the water.

We went to Dunvegan Castle for breakfast and saw lots of fairy homes and the Fairy Flag. Its famous.

We went on a treasure hunt in Portree to find a present left by my friend.  It’s on Skye.

My holiday was the second best ever because Mummy wasn’t there.
